Australian banking body launches credit card consultation
The Australian Banking Association (ABA) is looking to gather stakeholder feedback on potential restrictions on the use of credit cards to fund online gambling, and how banks can help better protect players. Interested parties will have until 4 March, 2020 to share their views on controls such as an outright ban, and how and when this could be implemented.

Spanish police find little evidence of underage gambling
A national investigation by the Spanish police found little evidence of underage gambling across the country’s licensed gambling premises. La Policía Nacional’s Operation Arcade, in which more 3,000 spot inspections of almost 1,900 gaming halls throughout Spain were carried out over a 48-hour period, uncovered only 28 cases of minors gambling.
