Unibet leads gambling TV ad spend in Sweden

Unibet was the highest-spending gambling operator for television advertising in Sweden during the first 11 months of 2016.

According to data from Sifo Advertising Measurements, Unibet spent a total of SEK270 million (€28.2 million/$29.8 million), placing the company fourth in the overall Swedish market with a 1.5% share.

Svenska Spel placed in fifth position for the period with total spend of SEK243 million, as well as committing SEK30 million to advertising on radio.

Elsewhere, Bet365 spent SEK11 million on television streaming advertising, with LeoVegas spending SEK9 million, Unibet SEK7.5 million and Svenska Spel SEK4.5 million.

LeoVegas also made the top 10 of advertising spend on mobile, with a total of SEK17.6 million during the 11-month period.
