Sports data provider Stats Perform has agreed a new deal to collect and manage data from all major competitions organised by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

Under the four-year deal, Stats Perform will serve as CONMEBOL’s official data provider, covering events such as the Copa America, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Recopa.

Stats Perform will work with CONMEBOL and its partners to deliver data across broadcast channels, OTT platforms, digital media, fantasy games, brands and sponsors.

Data will be delivered through a range of feeds, providing raw detail to power broadcast graphics, automated highlights, fantasy experiences and digital match centres.

“Through our new partnership with Stats Perform, we have access to the biggest sports AI and data provider to help expand our exposure worldwide,” CONMEBOL commercial director Juan Emilio Roa said.

“Through this partnership, our broadcast and media providers will have access to detailed information about each match, team and player, which will provide more compelling stories and insights for fans.”

Alex Rice, chief rights officer at Stats Perform, added: “This partnership will see us working closely with CONMEBOL to deliver the best quality data, giving the competition control of their data rights and access to Stats Perform’s expertise and sales network.”
