Content developer Skywind Group has expanded into the Italian market after it entered into a new partnership with Playtech-owned operator Snaitech.

Under the agreement, Snaitech will gain access to a range of gaming content from Skywind. The developer has more than 280 games in its portfolio including video slots, branded video slots, arcade titles and table games.

All of Skywind’s content on the Snaitech platform will be localised specifically for the Italian market.

“Italy is an important market for both local and global operators,” Skywind’s managing director Oren Cohen Shwartz said. “The market enjoys a year-to-year increase in revenues and we are pleased to have extended our reach and enable our partners to offer our games and engagement tools in the market.”

Skywind will also work with Snaitech on various responsible gambling measures with the aim of keeping Italian players safe from gambling-related harm.

“Responsible gaming is a top priority for Skywind Group and we are glad to have Snaitech’s support in ensuring the Italian market has access to reliable, accessible, stand-out premium content,” Cohen Shwartz said.

Alessandro Allara, sports and digital director at Snaitech, added: “We are very satisfied with this agreement with Skywind Group, a partner that focuses on product quality but above all on the safety of the gaming environment, because we consider gaming as pure entertainment.

“Therefore, we have the duty to provide self-protection tools and information on risks, even by offering to our customers the most advanced gaming technologies, which give great help in reaching our purpose.”

Last month, Playtech reported that its Snaitech business exceeded expectations in the third quarter, during which Playtech saw revenue from its B2B operations, including Snaitech, climb 12% year-on-year.
