Scout Gaming Group has launched player odds sportsbook, a new product that combines elements of daily fantasy sports contests with fixed odds betting elements.

The player odds sportsbook allows users to bet on the number of individual fantasy points accumulated by a sportsperson over the course of a game.

It has launched offering head-to-head contests, in which users can bet on which player will accumulate the most points, and over-under betting on points totals.

Scout chief product officer Andreas Sundal explained that player odds sportsbook had been developed to complement traditional sports betting products.

The sportsbook has debuted on FanTeam.com, Scout’s B2C subsidiary, alongside the supplier’s new Betflex cross-selling tool. This takes data from user activity, such as bets placed, to generate recommendations for related bets and tournaments to increase fixed odds and fantasy activity.

“We are working intensively with player related games where we combine and use our in-house stats and pricing [to] both traditional wagering-related games and pool betting,” Sundal explained. “Betflex is our tool for connecting the associated games and provide the user with tailor suited bets based on his selections and predictions.

“Clients will be able to use Betflex for a multiple of cross-selling opportunities both within our product offering as well as other connected suppliers.”
