Rank Group has cited growth within its digital division as one of the key reasons behind a year-on-year increase in revenue during the 46 weeks to May 14.

Group like-for-like revenue was up 1% year-on-year, with total revenue flat.

The firm said that on a channel basis, digital revenue was up 13%, while venues like-for-like revenue, including Enracha, remained the same.

However, Rank said a lower gaming margin negatively impacted its Grosvenor Casinos arm, with like-for-like revenue down 1%, although Grosvenor’s digital operation reported a 35% year-on-year increase in revenue.

Elsewhere, lower customer visits meant revenue at the company’s Mecca venues also dropped by 2%, while digital revenue climbed 2% in the period.

Rank is expected to announce its preliminary results on August 17 and said that management expectations for the full year remain unchanged.
