PokerStars goes live in New Jersey
Amaya has announced the launch of its PokerStars online gaming brand in New Jersey, following a short soft launch period in the US state.
Last week, PokerStars launched its services on a limited basis in order to allow regulators in the state to monitor any issues that may arise.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has now granted the relevant technical approval to enable PokerStars to fully launch its services in the state.
Consumers in New Jersey will gain access to a host of online casino games such as slots, blackjack, roulette and baccarat, as well as range of poker tournaments, including the ‘Spin & Go’ variant.
Games will be accessible via desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
“We could not be more proud to bring PokerStars to New Jersey; working with our partner, Resorts Casino Hotel, we look forward to providing the most exciting, innovative and secure gaming experience to New Jersey,” Amaya chairman and chief executive, David Baazov, said.
PokerStars’ full launch in the state will be given further support by NYX Gaming Group, which has launched a range of slot games with the operator.
Included in the initial launch list are titles such as ‘Judge Dredd’, ‘Irish Eyes 2’ and ‘An Evening With Holly Madison’.

Meanwhile, NetEnt has also announced that a selection of its desktop and mobile games will go live with PokerStars in New Jersey.
NetEnt recently signed a licence agreement with to supply games to PokerStars in the state, and has now been given a transactional waiver from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to proceed with the launch.
