Playtech confirms front office changes as Withers exits
Online gaming software supplier Playtech has confirmed a number of front office changes in the wake of executive director Roger Withers’ retirement from the board.
Withers, who confirmed his departure on August 29, will remain an adviser on industry matters to Playtech until the end of September 2014.
As a result of Withers stepping down, Alan Jackson, previously the senior non-executive director of the firm, has now been appointed non-executive chairman with immediate effect.
In addition, Playtech has also appointed Hilary Stewart-Jones as a non-executive director.
Stewart-Jones, who will join the firm from law firm DLA Piper, will chair the board’s Risk and Compliance Committee and Remuneration Committee and will sit on the Audit Committee. She will remain a consultant with DLA Piper.
“She brings a wealth of gaming sector knowledge, which will enable her to make a significant contribution to the company and its future growth,” Jackson said.
