Playtech has entered into a new partnership with GVC Holdings to launch Elevation, a new, dedicated live casino studio for the operator.

It will be housed in a purpose-built space, initially featuring five blackjack tables and a roulette studio, with additional tables and games to follow over the coming two months.

The games will be played against a backdrop of a video wall featuring a backdrop of a city skyline, which Playtech claims will create a “truly visual spectacle” for players.

“As the parent company behind some of the most iconic brands in online gambling, GVC has been a key partner for us for many years, and we’re delighted to be extending that partnership with the development of Elevation,” Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad commented.

“We’ve significantly invested in our live casino technology and facilities in recent years, in addition to continually diversifying our content – so in a year when we’ve done more than ever to enhance our product, it seems only fitting to be working with an industry leader to deliver an ever-more innovative live experience.”

Akad’s counterpart at GVC Shay Segev described live casino as one of the major growth verticals in igaming, with players seeking out an immersive, entertainment-driven experience.

“Significant investment has gone into delivering the first stage of the Elevation studio and we’re delighted with the results.

“Playtech’s track record and experience in delivering innovative live casino technology and content is unsurpassed,” Segev explained. “We’re looking forward to continuing our successful partnership and delivering a world-class player experience.”

The supplier has invested heavily in its live dealer offering, which in 2019 has seen it roll out a range of new game variants and move into new markets. In the third quarter of the year this has seen it launch a dedicated roulette solution for the Spanish market, and the release of titles such as Quantum Roulette, Heads Up Hold’em and All Bets Blackjack.
