Pinnacle has withdrawn its application for a licence in the regulated UK gambling market

Pinnacle has withdrawn its application for a licence in the regulated UK gambling market.

The online bookmaker has not been active in the UK since pulling out of the market in 2014, at the time saying it would return should it obtain the necessary licence in the future.

Pinnacle had submitted an application for an official licence and this had been listed as ‘pending’ on the UK Gambling Commission website.

However, in a post on its official Twitter feed this week, Pinnacle said that it has withdrawn the application.

Pinnacle said that although it remains “eager to serve the UK betting market, the decision has been made that now is not the right time”.

The post added: “Pinnacle remains committed to bringing its low margins, high limits and unique winners welcome policy to the UK market when the time is right.”
