Paddy Power Betfair advertising chief to depart – report

Ken Robertson is to step down as group director of advertising at Paddy Power Betfair, according to the Irish Times newspaper.

Ken Robertson is to step down as group director of advertising at Paddy Power Betfair, according to the Irish Times newspaper.

Robertson took on the role last year after the merger of the Betfair and Paddy Power businesses.

In an 18-year career with Paddy Power, Robertson served in various positions within the company’s marketing department, including ‘head of mischief’.

Speaking to the Irish Times, Robertson said he now intends to establish his own “creative marketing business”, with a focus on social media and new advertising channels.

“I will be taking a lot of my learnings from Paddy Power and looking to put them into practice; the intention is to produce high-quality creative advertising at quite a low cost,” Robertson told the newspaper.
