OEG targets Slovakian market after acquisition deal

28 January 2014

Land-based casino firm Olympic Entertainment Group (OEG) has acquired 100% of Slovakian VLT casino slot operator WINWIN Slovakia and now plans to open its first VLT casino in the country during the first half of 2014.

Although the companies did not disclose the price of the transaction, the share capital of WINWIN Slovakia is valued at about €1.2 million ($1.7 million).

WINWIN Slovakia holds the licence that is required for operating server-based slots in the country but does not operate VLT slot casinos at present.

“The transaction is not considered to be a transaction with related parties in the meaning of the rules and regulations of NASDAQ OMX Tallinn stock exchange and it does not have a direct effect on the economic activities of the OEG group,” OEG said. “The management board and the supervisory board members of OEG are not personally interested in this transaction in any other way.”
