New Jersey sets online gaming revenue record in March

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has announced that the US state was able to generate a record $21.7 million (€20.3 million) in online gambling revenue during March.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has announced that the US state was able to generate a record $21.7 million (€20.3 million) in online gambling revenue during March.

The amount is the highest-ever monthly revenue total achieved by New Jersey, easily surpassing the previous record of $18.8 million set in January this year.

The figure also represents a 40.2% year-on-year increase on the $15.5 million posted in March of 2016.

Online gaming revenue for the year-to-date, to the end of March, now stands at $59.3 million, up 32.1% on the same point in 2016.

Elsewhere, total casino win in March amounted to $200.1 million, up 6.7% on the $187.5 million posted in the corresponding month last year.

For the year-to-date, casino win in New Jersey is $552.9 million, an increase of 3.6% compared to the same period in 2016.

Overall gaming win in the state for March amounted to $221.9 million, up 9.3% on last year, while in terms of year-to-date, the total stands at $631.9 million, an increase of 5.7% on the previous year.
