Nevada reveals gaming revenue growth in October

The Nevada Gaming Control Board has said that the US state’s gambling market was able to record further revenue growth in October.

Casino win for the month amounted to $990 million (€930.5 million), up 11.2% from the $887 million collected in October of last year, and also an increase on the $949 million won in September this year.

Slot machine win climbed 10.5% year-on-year to $631.6 million, while sports pool volume was up 2.4% to $517.2 million, with sports pool wagering coming in at its third-highest total of all time.

Downtown Las Vegas casinos experienced the most growth, with a 29.54% gain, although revenue in North Las Vegas was also up by 29.3%.

Nevada was able to collect $59.6 million in gambling taxes during the month, up 13.8% on last year.
