Nevada’s gambling market has been able to recover from a poor start to the year by posting year-on-year revenue growth during February.

Figures filed by the Nevada Gaming Control Board show that gaming win in the US state last month amounted to $989.8 million (€873.5 million), 8% more than in the previous year and some way ahead of the $925 million posted in January of this year.

The state’s poker market, which includes online poker, collected just under $9 million in February, 5.4% more than in the same month last year, the largest year-on-year increase since January 2014.

However, the figure does represent a loss of 2.9% on the revenue generated in January this year.

For the fiscal year, total gambling win in Nevada is up 1.5% to $7.5 billion.
