Minnesota airport trial grounded by poor return

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in the US state of Minnesota has posted disappointing figures from a recent six-month trial of electronic gambling at the airport.

According to the OnlineCasinoReports.com website, the airport began a trial of iPad games in bars and restaurants in January, but passengers spent just $33,586 (€25,835) on the games.

The games had been expected to raise $3 million to help fund the development of a new $348 million stadium for the Minnesota Vikings National Football League (NFL) American football franchise.
