Mediatech launches new range of terminals

Gaming platform provider Mediatech Solutions has launched a new product line to manage land-based gaming terminals.

The ‘Candy’ line has been created to offer detailed player tracking, a single wallet with peripheral integration, a lightweight content delivery mechanism and a dynamic lobby capable of updating content across all game genres in real time to better target players with the most contemporary and relevant games from any regulated game provider.

Candy is being trialled on some 20 terminals in the Basque region of Spain thanks to a partnership with ASE (Basque Gaming Arcades Association).

“This is another important step in the journey of our company," Mediatech founder and chief executive, Jessica Ordovas, said.

"We are privileged to have ASE as a partner on this pilot program.

"They have been progressive and supportive of the development of this system, which we hope will fundamentally change the way retail is delivered and supported for both operators and consumers from a product and economic point of view."

ASE said it has been concerned for a number of years about gaming market trends, not only by the decrease in the earnings but also the ageing demographic of the customer base.

It hopes its partnership with Mediatech can open up new possibilities.
