LCG chief information officer Newton steps down
Online financial services and spreadbetting firm London Capital Holdings (LCG) has announced that William Newton has resigned from his role as chief information officer at the company.
LCG said that Newton would remain an adviser to the firm and continue to have a “substantial input” on its “technical direction”.
John Jones, chief operating officer at LCG, will now take Newton’s place on the company’s PLC board.
Jones joined the company in July 2013 to manage operations, having previously held various other senior positions in finance, trading and operations.
Kevin Ashby, chief executive officer of LCG, said: “We are indebted to William for his contribution both to the board and the group's technology strategy; LCG is now set on firm technology foundations and I look forward to continuing to work with William in the future.
“Since his arrival in July 2013, John has made a substantial contribution to the company and the Ltd board and I look forward to his insight and contribution at the PLC board.”
