Kindred to donate EHF Euro 2020 branding space to charity

Online gaming operator Kindred Group has revealed that it will donate all of its exposure rights at the upcoming European Handball Federation (EHF) Euro 2020 tournament to the European Network of Active Living for Mental Health (ENALMH).

Online gaming operator Kindred Group has revealed that it will donate all of its exposure rights at the upcoming European Handball Federation (EHF) Euro 2020 tournament to the European Network of Active Living for Mental Health (ENALMH).

The ENALMH network, which promotes physical activity as a way to help prevent and address mental health problems, will benefit from Kindred’s exposure rights during all the games played in Norway at both the men’s and women’s events.

The EHF European Men's Handball Championship 2020 will take place across Sweden, Austria and Norway from the 10 to 26 January, while the women's 2020 event run in Denmark and Norway from the 3 to 20 December, 2020.

“Donating our exposure rights during the European Handball Championship games played in Norway to ENALMH follows our efforts to raise awareness of mental health across Europe,” Kindred’s global head of sponsorships Timo Mastelinck said.

“If we can contribute to raise awareness of how to prevent mental health problems by this donation, then it is a win-win situation. We are proud to support ENALMH in their important work.”

ENALMH vice president Jan Drobny added: “By being connected to a major European sport event, the Active Living for Mental Health movement acquires the dimension that it really deserves.

“Thanks to the opportunity provided by Kindred Group ENALMH will be in Norway to support the spirit of the sport, to meet the Norwegian community of sport or mental health, to discuss with the sport industry and to share our ‘move to balance’ message with the big audience.”

The move comes after Kindred in October last year joined forces with Swedish community initiative, “NU: Nolla Utanförskapet” to develop and launch a new project aimed at helping socially vulnerable young adults in Stockholm.

In September 2019, Kindred also announced that it was to display responsible gambling messages on the shirts of its brand 32Red’s partner football clubs throughout the 2019-20 season.
