Kambi hopes to expand lottery business after security certification
Kambi has announced plans to expand its presence in the global lottery sector after being awarded World Lottery Association Security Control Standard (WLASCS) certification.
The lottery-specific security standard, which was awarded by business standards company BSI, has been developed using the internationally-recognised ISO/IEC 27001 framework, which helps organisations manage and protect their information assets so that they remain safe and secure.
Through Kambi’s successful audit process, the B2B provider, formerly part of Unibet, can now enter global public procurement processes by offering operators a secure choice in betting services.
It said it hopes to expand its presence in the government regulated lotteries sector, having last year signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Novomatic Lottery Solutions.
Kambi chief executive, Kristian Nylén, said: “Kambi is well-known across the industry for its commitment to the highest levels of compliance and security, and we are pleased to be able to build upon our reputation with this certification.
“Meeting this standard puts Kambi in a strong position to pursue public procurement opportunities in the future, and highlights us as the secure choice for lottery operators looking to add a sports betting component.”
