Company will work with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians

International Game Technology (IGT) has expanded its sports betting services into the tribal gaming sector by linking up with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

Under the deal, IGT will provide its PlayDigital PlayShot sports betting solution at the Pearl River Resorts' Golden Moon Hotel & Casino and Silver Star Hotel & Casino in Choctaw, as well as the Bok Homa Casino in Sandersville.

Consumers can place pre-match and in-play bets over-the-counter at the three casino sites.

The Golden Moon Hotel & Casino (pictured) has been live with the services for a number of weeks now, having last month become the first on-Nevada tribal casino to open a sportsbook in the post-PASPA market.

Enrico Drago, senior-vice president of PlayDigital at IGT, said: “IGT’s leading entry into the tribal gaming sports betting space demonstrates how a wide variety of casino operators can benefit from our flexible, market-ready PlayShot sports betting solution, today.

“With IGT PlayDigital technology and expertise, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians introduced sports betting to players with confidence, knowing that PlayShot is already the trusted sports betting platform provider at more than 15 US casinos across multiple states.”

Mississippi last month became the latest state to legalise sport betting in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling on PASPA.

Churchill Downs Incorporated took the first sports bets under new regulations, while Caesars, Scientific Games, Pinnacle and SBTech are also active in the state.

FanDuel will also start accepting bets from today (Thursday) at Boyd Gaming’s IP Casino Resort and Spa in Bilox.
