Greentube acquires majority stake in BlueBat Games

3 February 2015

Greentube, an online gambling software subsidiary of the Novomatic Group, has acquired a controlling stake in Canada-based social gaming company BlueBat Games.

Under the agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed, Greentube will utilise BlueBat’s facilities to extend its technology options, which will in turn expand the software firm's presence in the North American market.

Greentube will look to BlueBat to develop white label solutions for casino operators.

BlueBat allows game developers and casino brands to socialise their games on browser-based and mobile platforms.

The social gaming company is also the developer of Greentube’s turnkey social casino marketing platform, Greentube Pro.

“We worked closely with the BlueBat team on a number of projects in the past year," Greentube chief executive officer Thomas Graf said.

“After the launch of Greentube Pro, it became apparent that BlueBat and Greentube's approach to social gaming were in direct alignment. The acquisition was the next logical step in our progression.”

Kenny Huang, chief executive officer of BlueBat, added: “This acquisition represents the next jump in our development as a company.

“Our alliance with Greentube strengthens our ability to deliver the best possible social gaming platforms in the most expeditious manner.”
