Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has revealed that it generated record levels of revenue in August, while the company has also expanded its services into Slovakia.

Last month, gross gaming revenue from the Guts.com, Rizk.com and Betspin.com hit an all-time high, with total deposits also up 8.5% from July to €10.4 million ($9.2 million).

The company also noted an increase in active real-money players for the period from June through to August, with the total of 88,440 representing a hike of 8.3% on the May to July period.

Meanwhile, GIG has confirmed its entrance into the Slovakian market through a new partnership with national operator Niké.

Although the country is still in the process of introducing a regulated market, Niké expects to gain a new casino licence early next year.

Once regulated, Niké will become active under the brand nike.sk and operate its online casino and sportsbook through the GIG iGaming Cloud platform.

“We are excited that Niké has chosen iGamingCloud as their platform provider, and as such are helping us pursue the vision of connecting the iGaming industry,” GIG chief executive Robin Reed said.

“With this agreement we have also reached our goal of signing 20 agreements by the end of 2016, almost five months ahead of schedule.”

Otto Berger, chief executive and co-owner of Niké, added: “In the tender process, we evaluated iGC as the best choice and we consider it to be a pinnacle in its area of specialisation.

“After the liberalisation of e-games in Slovakia, our goal is to be No.1 in this area, as we have long been in the field of sports betting.”
