GAN launches simulated gaming for Pearl River properties

17 December 2018

iGaming content and platform provider GAN has launched its Simulated Gaming product in the Mississippi market for the first time.

The launch, in partnership with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, covers the tribal operator’s Pearl River Resort portfolio.

This consists of the Pearl River Resort, comprising the Gold Moon Casino and the Silver Star Hotel & Casino, and the Bok Homa Casino all of which are located on the Choctaw Indian Reservation in Neshoba County.

GAN struck its partnership with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians in April this year, its first deal in the Mississippi market. As part of the deal Pearl River has also agreed to license GAN’s US patent addressing loyalty rewards linking, the supplier’s 14th US client to do so.

The supplier’s partner has already taken advantage of Mississippi passing sports betting regulation to roll out legal wagering at the Pearl River Resort and Bok Homa Casino. Its offering, powered by IGT’s PlayShot platform and supported by Betgenius’ sportsbook management solution, went live in September this year.

“Pearl River is one of America’s largest Native American casino resort properties, and the largest casino resort in Mississippi,” GAN chief executive Dermot Smurfit said. “This represents a brand new, strategic market for GAN, and we look forward to working with Pearl River to grow their Simulated Gaming business in the coming months.”

Smurfit also revealed that the roll-out of products with new partners and the expansion of existing partnerships had helped its clients grow gross player purchases by more than 52% in the first half of 2018.

“GAN now has successfully launched Simulated Gaming websites for 14 clients across 11 states, and we continue to see incremental opportunity to scale this segment through online/on-property marketing activity and working with our casino partners to expand user interaction and engagement,” he added.
