EveryMatrix aims to boost compliance after UK licence suspension

6 September 2019

Online gaming software supplier EveryMatrix has pledged to use a GB Gambling Commission review into its business to enhance the compliance procedures and processes across its operations.

Earlier today (September 6), the Commission announced that it had suspended EveryMatrix’s operating licence and confirmed it is to carry out a review into the supplier.

The regulator said the decision was based on compliance activity at EveryMatrix, including an examination of its customer interaction framework.

EveryMatrix has responded by outlining plans to address the concerns raised by the Commission as to how it manages customer interactions. The supplier said its licence will remain suspended until it can demonstrate to the regulator that it has taken steps to be fully compliant with its social responsibility obligations.

“EveryMatrix sees this licence review as an opportunity to further strengthen its compliance processes and procedures,” EveryMatrix said in a statement. “The company is taking the Commission’s concerns extremely seriously and has already taken swift and effective actions to address the Gambling Commission’s concerns sufficiently.

“EveryMatrix has fully cooperated with the Commission throughout the licence review and has communicated all the steps and actions it has taken to meet its social responsibility obligations.

“EveryMatrix is hopeful that the suspension will be lifted shortly.”

The supplier noted that the suspension is based on a general evaluation of its procedures rather then specific cases of player complaints, adding that it is committed to providing a fair and safe experience to its players.

EveryMatrix also said the suspension is not related to failing a technical audit of the software. As such, its B2B UK licence remains active, with the supplier able to continue to provide its gambling software to licensed operators in the UK.
