Dafabet bolsters e-sports activity with Fnatic sponsorship
Online betting and gaming firm Dafabet has struck a deal to become an official sponsor of global e-sports organisation Fnatic.
Under the agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed, Dafabet will raise awareness of regulated betting on e-sports activities to its customers on various regions around the world.
In addition, Dafabet branding will appear on players’ shirts during Fnatic events.
Dafabet will also offers its customers betting options on Fnatic-run competitions such as Dota2, League of Legends and StarCraft matches.
“Dafabet is a well-established, fully licensed reputable brand that is now joining the e-sports market,” Fnatic chief executive Wouter Sleijffers said.
“Partnering with Dafabet is a first in e-sports, and will be part of how we can experience e-sports as is common in other sports.”
Jason Hutcheson, head of e-sports at Dafabet, added: “We aim to be the primary driver behind the growth of e-sports betting globally and believe that our strategic partnership with Fnatic will help us achieve this aim.
“Fnatic have an incredible following within the global e-sports community undoubtedly due to their passion for the growth and development of the competitive scene.”
