BetFred appoints Barr as finance director
Gambling company BetFred it has promoted Nicola Barr to the position of group finance director.
Barr first joined BetFred in 2006 and most recently served as group financial controller.
She will replace the soon-to-depart Barry Nightingale, who has already confirmed he will step down as group finance director in January in order to take up a role with travel group Monarch.
John Haddock, chief executive of BetFred, said: “Nicola has been with Betfred since January 2006. In that time Nicola has progressed from being our call centre and internet financial accountant to head of reporting and then to group financial controller.
“Nicola played a very important role in our acquisition of The Tote in July 2011.
“We would like to wish Barry Nightingale all the best and thank him for his contribution to Betfred.”
