TV Global Enterprises, operator of the Latin America-facing betting and gaming brand BetCris, has become the latest operator to join the race for one of Buenos Aires province’s seven igaming licences.

It has partnered local Argentinean operator Impresora Internacional de Valores (Ivisa) in pursuit of a licence. Ivisa is already active in the Argentine igaming market through its Interbet.com.ar brand, which has been live in Chaco province since 2014.

The partnership means there are now 11 entities looking to secure one of seven igaming licences in the Argentine capital province, of which nine are joint ventures between local operators and international gaming companies.

Last week bet365 partnered bingo hall operator Pasteko; Betway struck a deal with Bingo King and Codere agreed to work with gaming hall operator Iberargen.

The trio join operators Flutter Entertainment (partnered with Bingo Pilar), William Hill (ArgenBingo), and The Stars Group (Atlantica de Juegos) and suppliers Playtech (Hotel Casino Tandil) and Intralot (BinBaires) in the licensing process.

Two more local brands, Biyemas and Slots Machines SA, are also competing for licences, currently without an international partner.

Operators and suppliers have until June 25 to register their intention to apply for one of the province’s 15-year igaming licences, which will allow them to roll out all product verticals. A 25% gross revenue tax rate has been set for the market once it opens.
