Astra Gaming to acquire Extreme Live Gaming
The Astra Gaming Group, the UK subsidiary of Austrian Gaming Industries, part of the Novomatic Group, has acquired a majority holding in live dealer gaming solutions provider Extreme Live Gaming.
Based in Manila, Extreme Live Gaming operates studios in Asia and employs both Asian and European dealers.
The acquisition, the terms of which were undisclosed, will see Extreme Live Gaming join Astra Games, Bell-Fruit Games, Empire Games, Gamestec, Greentube, RLMS Sales and Mazooma Interactive Gaming under the Astra Gaming Group umbrella.
The deal will include the opening of a new European studio that will be located in London. This is due to be operational by the third quarter of 2014.
In addition, Extreme Live Gaming will also integrate Greentube’s gaming suite, which will allow operators to access Novomatic content within the live dealer product and leverage Greentube’s back office capability.
“This is a deal that will add immense value to what we offer as a gaming Group,” Astra Gaming Group’s chief executive officer Zane Mersich said. “Our aim is to deliver to customers and players a world class experience in every facet of what we do.
“The Extreme Live Gaming brand brings an exciting, new and highly innovative edge to our portfolio – it exemplifies everything the Astra Gaming Group stands for.”
Darwyn Palenzuela, founder of Extreme Live Gaming, added: “In just a short space of time, Extreme Live Gaming has emerged as a leader in the live-dealer space – a position that can only be strengthened further with the backing of our new owners.”
