AGTech wins new China Sports Lottery hardware tenders

Lottery solutions provider AGTech Holdings has strenghtened its position in the Chinese lottery market by winning contracts to supply sports lottery terminals in three provinces and two municipalities.

Lottery solutions provider AGTech Holdings has strenghtened its position in the Chinese lottery market by winning contracts to supply sports lottery terminals in three provinces and two municipalities.

The supplier, via its Beijing AGTech GOT Technology subsidiary, will supply sports lottery terminals to Guizhou, Anhui and Guangdong provinces, as well as for China's capital Beijing and its fourth most populous municipality, Tianjin. 

The deals, covering a combined population of more than 200m people, follow procurement wins in Hainan, Guangxi and another in Tianjin ealier this year.

“AGTech GOT has won eight tenders in seven provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across China this year, further reaffirming our hardware division’s continued dedication to and leading position in China’s lottery industry,” John Sun, chairman and chief executive of AGTech said.

“AGTech will continue to enhance product innovation, ensure safety and R&D compliance, and contribute to the overall healthy development of China's lottery market.”

A subsidiary of ecommerce giant Alibaba Group, AGTech took in HK$20.2m in revenue, a 14% increase from the prior year, in the first quarter of 2019. It is also working on an augmented reality project for the China Sports Lottery, which is designed to help the state-run operator appeal to a younger demographic.
