BetSoft’s Progressives Jackpot Irregularities

It has been discovered that a well-known software provider BetSoft has some irregularities in certain number of their progressive games. Namely, thanks to one of our players and our sister sites that has notified us about it, we want to spread a word and warn all our players to avoid the following games:
1. Good Girl Bad Girl
2. At the Copa
3. Greedy Goblins
4. Mr. Vegas
5. Slot Angels
6. The Glam Life
7. Tycoons
8. The Treasure Room
Unfortunately, these games have been considered problematic, it’s not excluded that there might be some more games with the same irregularities. Where’s the catch?! Certain progressive jackpots can’t be won, it seems they are locked, due to a software error, which can either be intentional or the outcome of the sloppy BetSoft’s programming. The company denies any irregularities on their part and they haven’t released any public statements about that yet.
The problem dates back from September last year when it was noticed that some games and specific coins were never won at Bovada even though they were won several times at took these two casinos as a sample for their further investigation since they have been using the same software and major differences that led them to the conclusion that something weird was going on there. The research took 9 month until it was finally discovered that there was a serious issue with BetSoft’s progressive games. Certain games at Bovada were never won unlike at The odds were astronomical.
The second thing that has been discovered is the frequency of winnings of some of the jackpots. It was normally won several times a day during February and March 2016. It has been noticed that it was not won for the period of three weeks and then suddenly all of them reverted back to their regular win frequency. Have a look at this example: the 5¢,10¢ and 25¢ denominations jackpots on Good Girl Bad Girl regularly hit at Slots.iv, but were never won at Bovada since the tracking started 9 months ago. The odds of hitting the 5¢ jackpot on this slot were calculated to be 1:20,000 - it was played at Bovada almost six million times without ever being won.
In addition, a player whose name is Jason, won a progressive jackpot on the slot The Glam Life 50¢ denomination at casino. Although he placed the max bet and landed five yacht symbols on a win line during the free spins, he was supposed to win a million coins prize. However, BestSoft refused to cashout his winning saying that he did not bet max on $1 denomination. All these facts make them look unprofessional. Jason was complaining to their customer support. However, it fell on deaf ears.
On June 26th BetSoft updated the paytable on the Glam Life game adding only one vague sentence: ‘Jackpot cannot be won during any other bonus feature.’
Looking back in the past, October 2010, worried poker players noticed several irregularities in keno games powered by already mentioned software provider. The games were almost impossible to win, however, most of them blamed Absolute Poker rather than BetSoft.
Four years later, July 2014, Alderney Gambling Control Commission suspended BetSoft’s license. The reasons for that are still unknown but there are some speculations that one of the reasons was licensing of its games to casinos that accept US players. BetSoft is currently regulated and licensed by the Government of Curacao and their games are provided to numerous US friendly casinos.
With all that being said, we advise you to take an extreme caution when choosing some of the BetSoft progressive games. We also wanted to spread a word about the flaws and prevent much damage. CasinoListings tried to contact BetSoft team but with no success. They still haven’t heard from them.
