Gambling software designer and supplier Playtech Limited has signed a new licence agreement that will see it provide a range of products and services to betting exchange and online casino operator Betfair.

Playtech revealed that it has now become the exclusive software provider for Betfair's new download online casino offering, which is to be made available to players via a solution fully integrated with the operator’s betting exchange, while also supplying a bingo service to the Betfair TV platform.

“We welcome Betfair to our licensee network and are excited to be working with such a like-minded business that revolutionised the gaming industry,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech.

“Betfair's decision to enter into this licence agreement with Playtech is a significant endorsement of Playtech's market-leading gaming products and this partnership exemplifies our strategy of rapidly expanding our licensee base with tier-one operators across all markets.”

“We chose Playtech because, like us, it is the market leader in its industry, producing software that is at the cutting-edge of gaming technology,” said Niall Wass, Managing Director for Betfair International.

“It is the natural partner of choice to support the expansion of our product offering and we look forward to working with its development team to provide exciting and innovative new gaming experiences for our customers.”
