This will ensure our readers have a regularly updated roster of the sporting events happening that day. The format has been tweaked, with a full table of the day's action at the bottom of the page.

Baseball
The day (16 April) starts again with Chinese baseball, with the Professional Baseball League and its reserve league playing.

Basketball
Chinese Taipei's Super Basketball League and Tajikistan's Northern Cup both play today.

Darts
The Icons of Darts Live League continues, as does A Night at the Darts.

Football
Belarus, as it has during the shut-down of sporting activity across the rest of Europe, continues to play football. Today we have the country's Premier League and, as well as the men's reserve league. The women's Premier League, which was originally scheduled for today, has been postponed.

Greyhounds
As usual, the vast majority of greyhound racing takes place in Australia, save for activity at Flordia's Naples Fort Myers in the US.

Horse Racing
US racing takes place in Florida, Arkansas, Oklahoma, as well as at Kawasaki in Japan, and across four tracks in Sweden, while, as with greyhound racing, the bulk of activity taking place in Australia.

Ice Hockey
The short form version of Russia's Liga Pro continues today. 

Tables Tennis
Today's table tennis takes place across the Czech Republic, Russia and Ukraine.

Tennis
Finally, Russia's Liga Pro is today's only tennis event taking place.
