Gaming has appointed Frida Gustafsson as its first ever chief financial officer, after the supplier created the new role following its expansion in recent months.

Gustafsson joins Yggdrasil from Netent, where she had been serving as finance manager for tax and new markets.

In her new role at Yggdrasil, Gustafsson will be based at the firm’s site in Malta.

“Everyone in our industry knows about Yggdrasil, and from what I’ve seen already there is an opportunity for massive growth over the coming years,” Gustafsson said.

“I look forward to being a part of the company’s ongoing success story.”

Fredrik Elmqvist, chief executive of Yggdrasil, added: “As Yggdrasil grows, it is important we assemble a world-class team of executives and Frida is one of the sharpest financial minds in gaming.

“She will be a huge asset as we continue to expand as a company.”
