Winamax shows its hand with FC Nantes extension

Online poker operator Winamax has opted to extend its partnership with French Ligue 1 top-tier football club FC Nantes.

Online poker operator Winamax has opted to extend its partnership with French Ligue 1 top-tier football club FC Nantes.

The one-year deal will run for the duration of the 2016-17 season.

Under the agreement, the Winamax logo will continue to appear on Nantes’ playing shorts, while the operator will also work with the club on various fan initiatives such as the opportunity for supporters to play poker against Nantes players.

Winamax, which began its support of Nantes in July of last year, also has deals in place with other Ligue 1 teams Nice and Marseille.

Alexander Roos, president and chief executive of Winamax said: “This renewal affirms our commitment to be a leading partner of Nantes and our satisfaction of our relationships so far with the club.”
