William Hill expands Premier League portfolio with Tottenham

William Hill has entered into a partnership with English Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur.

The deal will run for an initial two seasons, from 2016-17 to 2017-18.

The bookmaker will become the club’s official European and Australian betting partner.

William Hill will benefit from a branding presence on the club’s various digital channels and on advertising boards inside the team’s White Hart Lane home stadium, where it will also operate betting services on match days.

In addition, the bookmaker will invest in a community project delivered by the club’s Tottenham Hotspur Foundation charitable body.

“Tottenham Hotspur is one of the most famous teams in world football and we are delighted to be entering into this new partnership,” William Hill chief marketing officer Alex O'Shaughnessy said.

“The club’s profile will help to support our brand and business objectives and its location in Haringey gives us a unique opportunity to further demonstrate our commitment to the local area.”

Fran Jones, head of partnerships at Tottenham Hotspur, added: “As another Haringey-based business, we are both committed to this area of north London and look forward to progressing our work through a joint community project run by our award-winning Foundation.”

Earlier this week, William Hill also brokered a similar deal with Premier League side Everton.
