William Hill and NeoGames in US deal

8 October 2018

William Hill looks to have strengthened its ties with tech company NeoGames through a strategic alliance in North America.

Hills is a major shareholder in the Luxembourg-based iGaming and iLottery solutions and services provider, having purchased a 29% stake in 2015.

In a statement today announcing the appointment of Moti Malul to CEO, NeoGames commented on a recent strategic deal signed with William Hill. It has been reported that NeoGames will provide the player account management (PAM) system for Hills’ proprietary US sports betting platform that will be launched in early 2019.

NeoGames and William Hill have yet to respond to a request for further information on the deal.

Malul, previously NeoGames’ executive vice-president of sales and business development, will replace Ilan Rosen, who has resigned after six years as CEO.

Malul joined NeoGames a decade ago and has since helped establish and lead sales, marketing and customer growth. His prior experience included 12 years in the telecom and internet industries, serving in sales, marketing and product management positions in companies such as Ericsson.

Malul told iGamingBusiness.com: "The main focus will be the US market. We are leading the US iLottery market through our successful JV NeoPollard interactive and there are imminent opportunities we are pursuing, and in the iGaming space leveraging this experience as well as the strategic deal with William Hill to get into more markets through additional B2B deals.

"We are already market leaders in the lottery space in the US through NPi (NeoPollard interactive) to which NeoGames provides the entire technology and games. Having four years of phenomenal success with three live customers and more to come. We will actively seek additional opportunities with casino operators in states which are opened and opening for iGaming and Sport Betting, to provide a complete solution of Platform, Games, Sport and Operational Services."

NeoGames’ existing partners include Italy’s Sisal, the Michigan Lottery and Portugal’s Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.

Since 2016 it has provided services to Czech Republic lottery operator Sazka, including iLottery and online gaming products with iLottery 360, based on the NeoSphere integrated player management platform.
