Unibet to launch standalone bingo software
Online gaming operator Unibet is to launch new standalone bingo software in a move that will mark its exit from Playtech’s Virtue Fusion network.
Due for launch in mid-2015, the new software is being developed by Relax Gaming under the guidance of Unibet, which itself has been monitoring the bingo market in order to establish the best design, features and functionality.
The new software will offer users access to various types of bingo and in-game features, in addition to a full casino offering, multi-channel support and a loyalty programme.
Unibet, Maria and the recently acquired Bingo.com brands will be the main services operating on the new Relax bingo network, which will confirm their exit from the Playtech Virtue Fusion network.
Accessible via desktop and iOS and Android mobile devices, the new bingo product will be available on the .com environment as well as in locally regulated markets such as the UK and Belgium.
Daniel Eskola, head of gaming at Unibet, said: “With the success of the new standalone poker, the natural next step was to look at bingo.
“This project has enabled us to start fresh and define what we believe is important for a fun and entertaining bingo experience with more winners, while facilitating cross sell to our casino and games.
“Our ambition is to reinvigorate Bingo, make it more exciting than current products on the market and appeal to a wider audience.
“Unibet would like to thank Playtech for the five years during which the bingo revenues have shown healthy growth.
“Our relationship with Playtech remains strong and we will continue to offer GTS games in our Casino and well as Poker on Unibet.fr.”
