Sportradar scores new partnership with Brazilian FA
Sportradar has agreed a deal with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to employ its Fraud Detection System across all matches in the country’s national leagues.
The CBF, which serves as the Brazilian national governing body for football, has also launched its own in-house integrity department, with an appointed integrity officer to work with Sportradar on various initiatives.
Sportradar already monitors the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Série B, the two top tiers of club football in the country, as well as the Brazil Cup through existing agreements with international football governing bodies.
The new deal will expand this arrangement to Série C and Série D, while the CBF will also be able to utilise Sportradar’s Fraud Intelligence Unit to supplement the monitoring and detection services.
“Our commitment is on the integrity of all the competitions, safeguarding all matches from any interference,” CBF president Marco Polo Del Nero said.
“The betting market is growing and we have to ensure that our competitions are not hit by despicable integrity attacks.
“We were looking for a leading partner in the world market, with widely recognised work and which already had a broad knowledge of the Brazilian football structure.”
