SEO: iGB and Blueclaw assess search market for managers on the edge

9 October 2015

In the wake of Livepool sacking Brendan Rodgers, iGaming Business and Blueclaw decided to look at the search presence of manager sacking odds.

We used as our referring domain and the site dominates SERPs with 121 rankings in the top 10 and an average position of three.

Michael Gabriel, account manager at Blueclaw, says: “We’re three months into the Premier League season and so far we have witnessed just one managerial sacking in the form of Brendan Rodgers. Of course Dick Advocate recently left Sunderland, however it was reported to have been by ‘mutual consent’.

"I’m not surprised to see performing so well, the site's sole purpose is to offer insight and odds in the ‘sack race’ market. As well as the site's offering being very specific, it also carries an exact match domain – I’m a firm believer EMDs still carry some weight. Aside from, and are the only other affiliates that has a presence in the top 10 performing domains."

With regard to operators, Irish bookmaker Paddy Power is performing best, with 119 rankings in the top 10 and an average position of five, closely followed by SkyBet, with 91 rankings in the top 10 and an average position of three.
