The Senet Group has moved to expand its code with the addition of various new commitments regarding social media use among its members.

Under the expanded code, members will now be required to carry prominent responsible gambling messages on the homepages of their major social media sites, as well as on all other web and social applications.

Members must also include regular stand-alone Senet advertisements in their Twitter feeds.

Wanda Goldwag, chair of Senet Group, said: “It’s important that operators are socially responsible in the way that they promote gambling, whatever channels they use.

“These new commitments are designed to uphold that principle in light of changing patterns of media usage.”
