Scientific Games has entered into a partnership with Apigee, a subsidiary of global technology giant Google.

The gaming company will now deploy Apigee’s full lifecycle application programming interface (API) management software in its suite of casino and slot management systems solutions.

Scientific Games said that the software will enable it to design, secure, deploy, monitor, and scale APIs.

In addition, Scientific Games said by using the Apigee solution, this will make integration with third-party applications “easier, more secure, more reliable, and more operationally efficient”.

Catherine Burns, senior vice president of gaming systems for Scientific Games, added: “Scientific Games is committed to providing the best possible technology solutions for our customers and this agreement with Apigee, along with our newly launched Partner Program, underscores that commitment.

“The Apigee API platform will help us to open up the door for more flexibility in working with third-party providers, enabling smoother integration and better security between our systems' products and third-party products.

“This gives our casino clients the ability to more easily integrate 'Best of Breed' product combinations to meet their specific operational needs, as well as enhance their interactions with their customers.”
