Online gaming revenue continues to rise in New Jersey

The US state of New Jersey has revealed further year-on-year online gambling revenue growth for the month of August.

The US state of New Jersey has revealed further year-on-year online gambling revenue growth for the month of August.

Internet gaming win last month amounted to $21.3m (€17.9), up 32.4% on the $16.1m posted in August last year and also an increase on the $20.6m that was achieved in July of this year.

Ongoing growth in the online gaming sector comes despite the state once again suffering losses in land-based operations, with casino win dropping 2.7% year-on-year to $223.6m in August.

Total internet gaming win for the year-to-date now, to the end of August, stands at $163.3m, up 27.3% on the same point last year, while casino win is marginally higher at $1.64bn.

Overall, industry gaming win for the eight months to August 31 amounted to $1.8bn, up 2% on the corresponding period last year.
