New Jersey sets new online gaming revenue record

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has announced that the US state was able to set a new monthly record for online gaming revenue in January.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has announced that the US state was able to set a new monthly record for online gaming revenue in January.

Revenue from the state’s online gambling market last month amounted to $14.6 million (€13 million), an increase of 26.5% on the $11.6 million posted in January of last year and higher than the previous monthly record of $14 million achieved in December 2015.

However, despite the further improvement, the NJDGE also noted that total gaming win for New Jersey was down 3.8% year-on-year in January to $190.1 million.

Table games suffered the most, with revenue down 13.1% to $52.8 million, while slot machine win also dropped 2.1% to $122.9 million.

Overall casino win for the month dropped 5.6% year-on-year to $175.5 million.
