Nevada gambling revenue improves in March

Nevada has recovered from year-on-year losses in February to post an increase in gambling revenue during March.

Revenue generated by casinos in the US state amounted to $991 million (€909 million), up almost 7.5% on the corresponding month last year.

The March total also represents an increase of more than $45.4 million on the amount collected in February of this year.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board said revenue from table games increased 9.8% year-on-year to $335.6 million in March, despite an 11% drop in baccarat revenue.

Revenue on the Las Vegas Strip jumped 8% to $526.1 million, while Downtown revenue climbed 22.6% to $62.9 million.

The March results mean that revenue generated by casino in Nevada during the first three months of the year is 4.8% more than in the same period last year.
