Leigh Nissim has resigned from his role as chief executive at Nektan in order to take up a new position at another company later this year.

Nissim will remain with the business until August to help ensure a smooth transition process.

Gary Shaw, founder and former chief executive of Nektan, will take on the role on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Jim Wilkinson, chairman of Nektan, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Leigh for his contribution and accomplishments during his time with Nektan and wish him well in his new role.”

Meanwhile, Nektan has said that trading during the fourth quarter continued to improve and it expects to report positive growth for the three-month period, which ends June 30.

In addition, Nektan said it is now in advanced discussions regarding funding and expects to announce further details of the initiative in due course.
