The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) national regulatory body has agreed a deal with Microsoft Malta to implement the latest customer relationship management (CRM) systems to automate its gaming and licensee management processes.

Under the agreement, the systems will be rolled out in a number of phases and is due to be completed by the end of the year.

The MGA said that the project would transform the way it interacts with both current and prospective licensees through the simplification and digitisation of online and land-based procedures.

“This project is another step forward in transforming the way we do business,” MGA executive chairman Joseph Cuschieri said.

“As the only current gaming authority that offers operators a pan-European online gaming licence, our objective is to exceed the expectations of our customers, business partners and stakeholders at large.”

Panayiotis Ioannou, country manager at Microsoft Malta, added: “At Microsoft, our mission is to enable people and businesses throughout the world to realise their full potential and as such, our commitment remains that of reinventing the services that people use to be more productive.”
