Online lottery betting company Lottoland has launched ‘WorldMillions’, its first independently developed lottery product.

Lottoland said the new service would offer the “largest guaranteed prize in the world”, with games on Thursdays boasting a fixed jackpot of £50 million (€58.5 million/$62.3 million) and Sundays a guaranteed £100 million.

Players can pick an eight-digit number between 00,000,000 and 99,999,999, with each number sold just once, meaning that jackpot winners will not have to share their prize.

Customers can reserve their favourite numbers for future WorldMillions draws by subscribing; with Sunday tickets priced at £10 and Thursdays £5.

In addition, players will have the option to purchase 1/10 shares from 50 pence, thus increasing their chances of winning by being able to bet on more lines for their budget.

Nigel Birrell, chief executive of Lottoland, said: “We’re delighted to be able to announce the launch of our first bespoke and exclusive lottery betting product, WorldMillions at the time the Gambling Commission is calling for innovation within the industry.

“Innovation is what drives everything we do at Lottoland. We are not afraid of experimenting however we never lose sight of what our customers want.

“WorldMillions will be the first of several major innovations that will be introduced in 2017 and that will see us further establish our business as a truly world leading operator in the lottery sector.”
