Ladbrokes has agreed a deal to become the new official betting partner for the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

The partnership will run for two years, through to the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

The bookmaker, which also serves as the official betting partner of the English FA, will benefit from branding exposure within and surrounding the FAI set-up.

“Ladbrokes Ireland has returned to a position of growth and we believe investing in Irish sport will support the upward trajectory of the business,” Ladbrokes’ director of Ireland, Jackie Murphy, said.

“Football is a favourite for our staff and customers alike, so we’re thrilled for our brand to be joined with such a high quality partner in the FAI.”

John Delaney, chief executive of the FAI, added: “The strength of the game in Ireland is reflected in the range of high quality brands which have invested in football and who see football as their preferred sport.”
