Ladbrokes has entered into a sponsorship deal with Australian National Rugby League (NRL) club the Gold Coast Titans.

Under the agreement, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, Ladbrokes branding will appear on the sleeve and lower back area of the Titans’ playing jerseys during the 2016 season.

Ladbrokes has been operational in the Australian market since 2013.

“Sponsorship is incredibly important to our club with the associated revenue helping to ensure we can provide as many resources as possible to (coach) Neil Henry and the players to give them the best possible chance of success,” Titans chief executive Graham Annesley said.

“In return, I have no doubt the Titans association will assist Ladbrokes in raising the profile of their brand in Australia and increase market share.”

Simon Jarvis, chief marketing officer of Ladbrokes Australia, added: “The Gold Coast region is important to our ambitions as we continue to evolve and grow our brand and reach new customers.

“We're very optimistic that our brand association will yield mutually.”
